Seattle's neon signs pain the winter darkness

This time of year, when darkness descends in modern afternoon and rain clouds often wonderful-size the gloomy hours that herald sunset, you can't be blamed for looking only just about anywhere for something to add a little cheer. Especially now, since most tolerable folks took down their Christmas lights weeks ago.

One cultivate of electric gratification that illuminates the countryside and elevates dour spirits year-by a circular is the neon sign. On these dim days and mournful nights, the glow of a neon tube (along with, sometimes, the sensation of a bad transformer), are just what the doctor ordered to renew the winter blues with vibrant reds, greens and whites.

Seattle is domestic to thousands of neon signs, from droves-produced "OPEN" signs ready brand-new at Costco, to one-of-a-kind significant landmarks whose shape and aura lay their surrounding neighborhoods. North Precinct

Battle Impel: A central heating and air conditioning piece was stolen from a home between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Pornographic Spring Road: A 22-year-old man was robbed of his chamber phone and car keys near the intersection of Jolly Drive between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Friday.

Depressed Spring Road: A woman reported the stealing of her wallet, an undisclosed amount of cash and exclusive ID from a service station at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Morningside Driveway: Police are investigating a case of golden-agers neglect involving a 54-year-old dame that occurred between 6 p.m. Sunday and 4:29 p.m. Wednesday.

Paden Drove: An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a refuge between 4:30 and 4:50 p.m. Thursday.

Summerhill Excursion: A vehicle parked at a home was fractured into between 4:30 p.m. and 4:37 p.m. Thursday. A debit business card, cell phone, digital camera and depend on card were stolen.
