Brooklyn Apartment Fire Kills 5; Arson Suspected

On a bitterly stony-hearted morning, firefighters reached the brilliance at 2033 86th Street, near Bay 25th Boulevard in Bensonhurst, shortly after 2:30 a.m. and found residents hanging out of windows and the three-tale building engulfed in flames that had collapsed the stairway chief to two floors of apartments above a Japanese restaurant.
The fire commissioner, Salvatore J. Cassano , said that 18 to 20 people lived on the two floors.
