Pasco firm lands Army contract for Humvee jacks

PASCO — Richard Bogert's three-quantity hydraulic jack is helping to lift the Tri-City curtness.
Since getting an Army contract last year to rig out up to 108,000 jacks over a five-year full stop, Bogert International has hired more than 30 new employees and helped emphasize about $20 million into the economy.
The Pasco-based plc manufactures the patent-pending wear out replacement jack used by U.S. soldiers in war zones to metamorphose a flat on a Humvee in about three minutes.
"The manhood of our suppliers are in the Tri-Cities," Bogert said.
For benchmark, the Boise plant in Wallula makes the cardboard boxes, and M & M Latch Co. of Pasco supplies the nuts, bolts and washers.
An estimated 200 jobs have been created locally with the presence's subcontractors because of the Army's contract, he said Monday as Congressman Doc Hastings, R-Decontaminate., toured the facility at 3606 N. Flood Ave., near the Tri-Cities Airport.
