WASHINGTON — Put the commander in chief on the front row and Georgetown beats Duke with its vanquish shooting game in 30 years.
With President Barack Obama and Immorality President Joe Biden munching popcorn courtside, the No. 7 Hoyas manage 71.7 percent against No. 8 Duke in Saturday's 89-77 win.
"The drive was pumped up, Obama was there, so it was exciting," Georgetown look after Chris Wright said. "I come up with we all came out with a little bit more energy than trite."
It couldn't have been a much bigger day for Georgetown: the president attending his first Hoyas prepared, the first sellout of the season in the 20,000-instate Verizon Center, a crowd mostly sporting "We Are Georgetown" T-shirts in a set of beliefs-sponsored "gray out," the 200th win for cram John Thompson III, the launch of an dynamism for Darfur schools and the much-detested ACC power in the structure.
"It was good, everything about it, from who was there to how we played against a terrific party, against a well-coached team, against a team that's one of the trounce teams in the country," Thompson said.

Emporia wins own tourney

EMPORIA — Solely how good was Emporia's defensive venture in the second half of Saturday's Glacier's Nervous championship game against Manhattan?
Meditate on that when notified that his team had just made 10 of 13 support-half field goals, Severe coach Bill Nienstedt still gave his defense the nod as turning in the safer performance.
"I think our defense was better doubtlessly," Nienstedt said. "It kind of keyed some of our offense and it was type of a roll of the dice to be honest. It wasn't a scheme decision to come and get them, we were more forced into a sentiment where we had to."
