2010 VW Golf 2.5L, Golf TDI
31.01.10
Float, acceleration and handling: Both cars get A-one grades in all three areas.
Head-turning quotients: VW has a way of using wholly side-panel lines and modest curves front and train to make cars look more priceless than they actually are. The same technique applies to Golf models 2.5L and TDI.
Confederation style/layout: The Golf is an "affordable" front-locomotive, front-wheel-drive, compact car designed essentially for urban use. It is available as a three-door hatchback or four-door sedan. There are 10 styles/smart levels, of which the TDI versions are the most expensive.
Engines/transmissions: The Golf 2.5L comes with a gauge 2.5-liter, inline five-cylinder appliance that produces a maximum 170 horsepower and 177 foot-pounds of torque. The TDI dummy gets a four-cylinder turbo-diesel machine yielding a maximum 140 horsepower and 236 foot-pounds of torque. The 2.5L driven for this column was equipped with an elective six-speed engine capable of being operated automatically or manually. A five-timeliness manual is standard for that model. The TDI gets a criterion six-speed transmission capable of being operated automatically or manually.

Volkswagen hybrid coupe tests US reaction to styling, technology
11.01.10
The look -- you might have to watch long to see the nuances the designers say are there -- is to be "the new veneer of VW," multiple execs said. Translated: We aspire you like it because the hybrid telegraphs the manner of the new Jetta coming this summer and the mid-vastness Passat replacement due next year. Will VW hyperbolize it:?
"It's a bit too early to say" whether the car will make it into production, says Stefan Jacoby, CEO of VW in the U.S. The NCC -- New Concept Coupe (VW is so jazzy) -- is based on VW's basic teeny-car, front-drive chassis module employed worldwide for the likes of Golf and Jetta. Power is from a 1.4-liter gasoline appliance rated 150 horsepower, and a 27-hp stimulating motor fueled from a lithium-ion battery. The car could run strictly on tenseness temporarily, so is considered a true, or "full," half-breed.

VW says the concept would be appropriate for 45 miles per gallon on the U.S. rule's combined city/highway proportion. And VW says it emits just 98 grams of CO2, a greenhouse gas, per kilometer -- an portentous number in Europe because of taxes there. Less than 100 gm/km is considered very edible.

2010 VW Touareg Spy Toys – This Is The New Touareg… Scale: 1/25
28.01.10
Volkswagen Touareg was betrayed by its inconsequential-scale version, the images of a toy embodying the next start Touareg being shown.
Touareg’s cryptographic was partly exposed, at least apparently this ideal being involuntarily shown through some small-lower models. In fact the secret was not so faithful, the future Touareg being wanted to align, like all the VW’s models since the launching of 2009 VW Golf, to the new disgrace image. And its silhouette seems a subtle growth of the current model.
As for the engines, it seems that the new model will acquire two 3-liter engines. One of the engines will be a TDI and will provide 240 HP while the other will be turbocharged gas machine and will deliver around 290 HP.

As for its dimensions it is said that this exemplar will offer some more interior space, which will unpleasant that the external measures will slightly be increased, but not much. The pictures of the true-scale model should appear next month, and formal disclosure is made on Parade 1 in Geneva.
