Why does my 2000 Chevy Impala whine as I accelerate(I have the 3.8 liter engine)?
as I accelerate, either the moving, exhaust, or possibly the belts/accesories have a low-pitched whine as I accelerate. I have heard other cars like mine archaic by and they have the same issue, but not all of them.
i own a inform on and you need to check the power steering fluid and the transmission fluid, either one of these things will genesis it to do this,i see a lot of the newer ones low on transmission fluid ,and that will cause them to make a whining racket, just take a while and check all of this out,if you cant find it have a good mechanic look at it,they can probably find out where its coming from for you, capable luck with it hope this helps.
